Monday 11th December 2017
Week thirteen! Crazy Monday as usual. Started of the day with a morning meeting with the team. As we are now white labelling the system there are some additional features that I have to take in to consideration and design a solution for. They are looking to present it to a company this coming Thursday and it will be up on a projected screen so they want it displayed at iPad level. Hate having to do this kind of adhoc design just for presentation purposes. Will be interesting seeing as I haven’t done any tablet specific layouts yet…
Monday Back Workout

Tuesday 12th December 2017
Today was spent working on a new flow for a new feature that is being added to this white label version.
This whole cryptocurrency thing is just crazy. Learning so much over the last couple of months about the variety of cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets and how it all works on the blockchain. I’m glad I invested and got in when I did because prices have since doubled. One of my friends introduced me to the world of alt coins, or alts as people tend to refer to them as. They are basically all coins and tokens other than Bitcoin.
A really good resource to check is coinmarketcap.com – If you look at each coin or token and select the Markets tab you can see which exchanges it is currently available on.

Wednesday 13th December 2017
Working through providing the guys with the remaining assets for this white label version today.
Meeting with Phil and the team to go over what has been done this week so he is prepared for his meeting on Friday down in Melbourne.
I created an iPad version of a few pages and put it into an InVision project so he can show it in his presentation. A few tweaks to this tomorrow and it will be ready to go.
We’ve been inspecting new places to live on the coast and have submitted an application for a new apartment at Point Frederick. Crazy times at the moment, I thought I’d be slowing down this time of year but it’s just nuts!

Thursday 14th December 2017
Crazy day getting the white label version ready for a demo tomorrow. Also worked on the iPad version showing a different section.
Crypto is still going nuts this week, I’ve been talking to more people and learning a lot more. Trying different cryptocurrency exchanges and getting my head around how it all works. One thing I’ve learnt is that you have to have your hand on the pulse if you’re looking to make quick gains.
I’m going to do a new post soon that will document how to get started in cryptocurrency.
So far I have signed up on 3 cryptocurrency exchanges and trading on 2 of them.
- Coinbase
- BTC Markets
- Coinspot
- Bittrex
The coins/tokens I’m dabbling in are: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, NEO
It is still very early days and this will change over time as I learn more about the different alts available on cryptocurrency exchanges.
I definitely learnt my lesson using Coinbase and the fees involved in sending Bitcoin to a different wallet. I wanted to test Bittrex platform, so I sent $100 worth of Bitcoin to my Bittrex wallet and it cost me $30 in fees! Safe to say I won’t be doing that again.

Friday 15th December 2017
Demo day! We have this thing in the office where if demo day comes up, everyone loses their minds! So it was a mad rush to make changes to the prototype I did earlier in the week before 9am for Phil to do his presentation.
After the madness settled down I got stuck in to designing more of the Admin UI for the guys to work on next week. I have to keep saying this for now, but everyone will have to wait until the project is live before I can share any of the flows and UI I have created for the whole project.
